The Importance of Repentance

Have you ever been at the border or pulled over as part of a routine traffic stop and when you hand your identification over to the agent you get nervous? You know that there is nothing amiss and that you have nothing to worry about and yet you feel like they will find “something” wrong? Famed atheist Bertrand Russell noted that he often felt this sort of hard to describe guilt. Are we actually guilty of something or is it just some lingering biological glitch in us? The Bible suggests that we feel a sort of existential inadequacy and even guilt because we actually are guilty of something and that repentance is the remedy.
