Who am I? It is a question we have all asked ourselves. “Am I just a clerk, sales person, teacher, mother, husband?” Were we “meant” to be anything at all, or do we just decide who we are? Are we defined by our jobs, social class, or sexuality, or is there something more foundational that defines us? In a world where commercials, parents and preachers are trying to tell you who you are, this is a question that we can’t just brush aside. This week, we saw how the words of a poet-king from 3,000 years ago can help you answer the question, “Who am I?”
