Seeking Answers in the Psalms

Google processes about 40,000 searches every second. That translates into over 3.5 billion every single day, and over 1.2 trillion every year. What’s the point of these stats? We have questions. Thanks to technology we have tools and resources that can help us get answers with just a few clicks and taps. There is no doubt that we are living in the most technologically advanced time in human history. Diseases are being eradicated, economic and gender “gaps” are being bridged (sometimes slowly), crime rates are dropping and we are living longer. With all these “answers”, why is it that we still have so many questions? Not just questions about superficial things like sports stats and where the closest IKEA is, but deep, intimate questions about meaning, purpose, life, suffering, happiness and justice. The truth is tech-nology can’t answer the questions that most profoundly haunt us. For eight weeks, we will be looking at the Psalms and seeing how the Bible answers the questions that technology can’t. Modern questions are not unique
